The newest version of MuseScore has a bug in its audio. I cannot switch between headphones or no headphones without restarting the program. It has been this way ever since the newest version came out.
Comments
Try toggling the MIDI button (off and back on). Also check what the output device in Edit > Preferences > I/O is set too.
This is a duplicate and not new at all, happens esp. with bluetoth headsphones basically ever since

No. That does not work, and it is new. I never had that trouble on the previous version.

Add details (operating system, headset, etc.)
and what previous version

I am not using bluetooth.
What Operating system?
What setting for Preferences > I/O?
See https://musescore.org/en/faq#faq-301733
I'm on Windows. I/O API is MME; Device is Microsoft Sound Mapper - Input; MIDI output latency is 0ms
That should work and leave it to Microsoft to map what real device the output goes to.
