Instruments for Vaudeville-style songs
I am making a soundtrack from classical songs and I want to make it "Vaudeville-style". Which instruments should I use to make the song sound like something out of a vaudeville show?

OK then! But what other instruments?
Instrumentation tended to vary according to what was available, so there's no really good general answer to this aside from just finding some old recordings and listening for yourself to see what appeals to you. The instruments used would be ones also used in other music, so really, the instrumentation isn't what will make the difference, it will be your skill in arranging based on knowledge of the style, which will also require listening and study.
