Distorting tremolos
The last half of the next to the last bar distorts when playing the MuseScore file; however, the MP3 file sounds fine. Is this something at MuseScore I need to adjust? Or is it something in my sound card?
Thanks for helping me chase this. <3

Both the mscz file and the mp3 file I exported from MS sound distorted on my PC monitor speakers but the mp3 sounds better on my Samsung tablet.

Thanks, underquark. Good to know it's not just my system. I wonder if it's something that can be fixed on the next release.

The next release of what? In my case I think the difference is due to the different hardware: both sound distorted on my PC monitor speakers but the mp3 sounds better on my tablet which has a better sound for everything than my PC setup does.
The monitor is a Viewsonic 24" with 2x2W speakers which are easily swamped.
The Samsung tablet has 4 speakers; I don't know the wattage but it got good reviews for its audio output.

So it's a hardware issue, not a software issue. Gotcha. Something to live with. Thanks, underquark. <3
No distortion for me

Well, the speakers are not good at all.
But maybe my ears aren't good either ;-)
There are definitely known issues when combining pedal markings and octave markings and there are a lot of fast notes. I think the cause is sort of understood, but it's not really my area of expertise, and I have no idea if the issues will remain when the dust settles on all the changes happening to playback for MuseScore 4.
