Notes below D-2 not properly recognized using Launchkey 37
I've just purchased a Midi Keyboard to transcribe upright bass parts using MuseScore. I need to enter low notes but : The note C-2 is not recognized ... neither G-1, F#-1 and some others ... The midi code is weirdly transmitted ...
I tried with Sibelius, the low notes are properly encoded ...
Anyone encountered this problem before ??
Thank's !

No wonder, MuseScore (and MIDI) goes only down to C-1, a C-2 just doesn't exist.
A G-1 and F#-1 though does exist
the lowest note on a contrabass though is a C1

Euh ... don't understand your answer ... I need C-1 and above ... and the C-2 that I miss IS above C-1 !!!

Depends on the Bass (whether it has an extender or not), but yes, might be possible. But surely not C-2

No, C-2 is one octave below C-1

You are writing C-2 but, I presume you mean C2?

Which is an octave abobe C1. Wich C0 being an octave above C-1

Yep, I think the OP is writing a - between the letter and the number rather than meaning lower than C1.
Problem solved : I had configured some buttons on my Lanchkey as shortcuts for changing the type of note etc ... but these button were also assigned to the notes on the keyboard ... That explains why the notes were missing ...
Thanks !
