Weird tones when viewing in condensed mode for piano
Hello community,
I've been using the software for about a month now. Recently I started getting different tones when viewing in the condensed view, when you click the keyboard icon to switch from full piece view to section by section view. Not sure what that's called.
It's much lower tones than the original piece, almost like the sound is muted a bit. When I view it in the full piece mode, it sounds like it should.
What could be the issue? Its really difficult to play the piece when the tones are completely off.
Regards,
Steve

Can you share a screenshot of which icon you're talking about? I don't recall there being a "keyboard icon" in the software.

Here is a screenshot of the icon I'm referring to. In the mode you see on the screen in the snapshot, it sounds like it should, when I click this icon to see the condensed view, it sounds lower and muted.

That is on the musescore.com website, so you'd need to ask over there

Thanks Jojo. Customer service directed me here to post initially. I found the correct forum.

When viewing in this mode (attached), it sounds completely different. The notes still play as they should, but it is incredibly muted and lower. Even with my volume all the way up, I can barely hear it. In the previous snapshot, i only have to have the sound on like 40%.
What’s “vumisualize”?

An anagram of "um... visualize"?

Lol. Hard to play the piece. Not sure where that even came from.
Thanks auto-correct for doing a phenomenal job!

Are you referring to the viewing modes as explained here:
https://musescore.org/en/handbook/3/viewing-and-navigation#viewing-modes
with "full piece" meaning "Continuous View" and "section by section" meaning "Page View".
Or do you mean viewing the full score and then switching to individual player's parts:
https://musescore.org/en/handbook/3/parts
Maybe you're referring to the score-sharing website musescore.com and not to MuseScore itself? Or to the mobile apps supported on musescore.com? Either way, that's something you need to ask over there.
Thanks for the screenshots. This forum has nothing to do with the mobile app. Your question belongs in one of these groups on another website:

Thank you for the links. That helps. I'm not exactly sure why customer service sent me here to post my question.

Perhaps they were as confused about which button you meant as we were at first.
