So, you can't mark staves as easily as shown here in Sibelius (17:03) https://youtu.be/iKKePoDSCu4?t=1023.
Currently it is only possible to insert a line, thicken it, increase the transparency and so on. But then this is not automatically adjustable, which means that moving or changing the staff is no longer possible without messing everything up.

Can you explain what you mean about not being to adjust? For me it works perfectly. I use this technique fairly often. I'd added such a customized line to my palette so I can apply it in seconds.

Workaround is to use a line that has been customized to the desired color and thickness. As mentioned, this does actually work quite well and if you add it your palette, very simply too. But indeed, a built in facility specifically for this would be nice someday too.

It should stay fixed to the staff and change length if the measure width changes. Also, you can set the stacking order of the line to be below the notes if you like. You can also select elements underneath other elements via Ctrl+click (deselects what you clicked and also selected the next element lower in the stack).

If you are still experiencing some sort of problem with this, best to ask for help on the support forum and attach your score steps to reproduce the problem. Then we can understand and assist better.
