Deleting rests
Hi. I can mange to delete notes, but cannot delete rests. I cannot continue writing the music until I can delete a wrongly placed rest as the timing would be wrong. Thankyou

You cannot delete voice 1 rests, but all others, voice 1 rests can only be made invisble.
However: deleting rests won't change the timing.

When you delete a note it leaves silence of the same duration - a rest. If you overwrite a rest with a note the silence is replaced with sound. What would you leave behind if you delete silence?
It is possible to remove a note or rest and the duration it occupies using CTRL+DELETE but that is probably not what you want. If you remove a quarter note or rest (crotchet) from a 4/4 bar you end up with only three beats.
Copy (CTRL+C) or cut (CTRL+X) all behind the rest, then click on the rest and paste (CTRL+V) the content there.
You don't need to delete rests in order to replace them with notes - just add the new notes directly. So just select the rest and enter the notes you want instead. Or, if you've already entered the notes but did it in the wrong place, just select the erroneously-entered notes (presumably, notes entered after the rest), then Ctrl+X to cut, then use Ctrl+V to paste them where the rest is now.
