Copying notes without hairpins
I have a piece with a section that repeats four times. There is a pattern of alternating hairpins between parts that I spent a long time getting exactly right (there are 5/4 measures so it offsets them) and now I'm editing some of the notes, and I want to copy over just the notes for the remaining 3 times instead of having to go in and make the same edits 3 more times. When I try to copy everything and then deselect dynamics and hairpins, the hairpins refuse to deselect (I'm holding command and clicking it). Any idea why this is happening? Is this a feature and I'm just doing something wrong or is this a bug?

Do you know how to get it to paste just the notes but not delete the existing dynamics/hairpins?

Please attach a (sample) score containing dynamics/hairpins and explain exactly what (and from where) you are trying to copy and to where you wish to paste.

Depending on exactly what you're trying to do, most likely it's possible using Tools / Implode, or by other means. As mentioned, if you attach your score and describe the goal in more detail, we can understand and assist better.
