Chord Chops on Playback
I have configured Musecore desktop to play chords during playback of my song. I'm wondering if there is an option to repeatedly play that chord on subsequent measures until another chords is specified? Sort of chops on a piano.
If there's no way to do this, I'll submit a feature request. Thanks!

The current way is to repeat that Chord Symbol everywhere you want it to be played. You can mark the additional symbols invisible if you so wish, to not clutter the actual score itself.

How would I mark the additional symbols invisible? I don't say any option to do that.

Use the default shortcut 'V' to toggle visibility of any selected element, or use the corresponding checkmark in the inspector after selecting the element(s).
