create my own keyboard shortcut?
Hi all,
Is there a way to create my own keyboard shortcut for a text symbol, specifically the elision symbol? I use it a lot when I am working with Spanish text.

Not a custom shortcut, but in case you're not aware, you can easily add symbols to a palette so it's only a click away, instead of always needing to open Special Characters. Just drag from Special Characters into your favorite palette (or create a new one just for this). Now it's just a single click while editing text to add that symbol. You could add the various accented characters as well while you're at it.

Thank you, Marc! That was very helpful. I have the US-International keyboard activated on my keyboard, so thankfully all the accents are keyboard shortcuts, otherwise it would slow me down! (é is '+e, ñ is alt+n, etc.)
