Accuracy of MusicXML exports and subsequent imports into e.g. Finale
I understand that MusicXML transfer isn't perfect, but is there any documentation anywhere for what Musescore can/can't cope with when transferring to MusicXML, and then reading that file in another software like Finale? Or is it fine for all of the common musical symbols/terms?

I don't think there is an list anywhere of what MuseScore cannot export or what Finale cannot import, but in general, expect most actual markings on the score to come through in some form. What won't are layout details, like exactly how much space is between two notes or how far from the staff a given articulation is, etc.

Ah okay, it's a quick collaboration with someone so if the score doesn't quite look respectable but otherwise is readable and plays back okay that's probably good enough, will try a few and see what they look like in their software.
