• Feb 5, 2010 - 10:30

FOSDEM is a yearly event for open source users and developers. It's taking place this weekend in Brussels. So the ideal opportunity to meet up with each other. Update: 17:30-18:00 session

Will be attending for the whole weekend: Werner Schweer, Nicolas Froment, Thomas Bonte. If you come as well, reply to this post or add yourself to the Facebook event page.

In order to find each other, there will be a MuseScore BoF session in the AW building, room 117. The MuseScore BoF session will take place in the afternoon, but for the exact time you will have to visit the BoF room and check the time table.

See you there!

Hi,

I am little more lost looking where I losted czech translation file last time in November I finished the work. This time I let some strings in the end of file untranslated again (I will take a look for some expert in area of pedals etc.), maybe next time.

The file was taken from source just after I saw on kde.org the announcement about MuseScore 0.9.5some days ago.

Please, update or merge this with actual SVN file.

Greetings, Pavel Fric

Hi Pavel,

The announcement about MuseScore 0.9.5 on kde.org was merely an update of the fact that 0.9.5 was not submitted yet on that website. 0.9.6 beta 1 is out already and the final release should come out in the coming weeks/months.

If you don't anymore where you left your previous files on the forum, this is the place to look.

Can I ask, did you take the ts file from the 0.9.5 sources and thus not from the svn? In any case, musescore now has a translation server on which we can translate together without the hassle of uploading ts files to the forum. I'll wait for your answer before I import your translation.

I made this mistyping. I have all files connected with mscore backuped.

I will look at translations server and its functionality.

I took the file mostly probably this way. I clicked on link named download (Source (MuseScore-0.9.5.tar.bz2) on page with announcement and the browser offered the package with adress: http://sourceforge.net/projects/mscore/files/mscore/mscore-0.9.5/MuseSc… to me. I extracted only translation file for czech. You can compare the number of strings etc. with my file.

Greetings

Hi,

I downloaded mscore .qm file, because it seems to me, that my habit to edit .ts/.qm files in special program: Qt Linguist served me good until now. And then I saw this statistics: 2277/2277 strings completed and approved.

In my translation work I use things like translation memory.(Localize style when this program can load all strings in all files it ever opened, or Qt Linguist style when this program offers only strings included in opened file or uses created phrase library).

When statistics above reports untranslated strings - does it mean, that they are used in program? How to obtain .ts/.qm file to be uptodate with it?

Hi pfri,

Qt linguist is indeed an excellent program and it has many features which are unfortunately not yet available in the translation server .

There are several reasons we moved the MuseScore translation towards the translation server. The main one is to enable collaborative translation which was not possible with downloading/uploading ts files.

The possibility to use translation software will come back once import/export is ready on the translation server. For the time being, you can download the ts file from the svn repository and still upload it to the translation forum.
