Dynamics above or below staff
In the Staff/Part Properties window, it would be great if it was possible to specify whether dynamics (as well as hairpins) should go above or below the staff. It would always be possible to flip them as needed, of course, but this would be helpful for scores that combine vocal and instrumental parts.

You can set this as a style. But only score wide, not per staff, unfortunately

I understand. My suggestion is to change that, and adding this option to the Staff/Part Properties window strikes me as the ideal solution.

Indeed this has been suggested before, and has been discussed at length. See the this Issue Tracker thread (2015 - 2021):
