How to get the left hand to be more silent (in the score)

• Oct 26, 2022 - 13:39

Hello guys,
I only use the musescore software for a couple of months, but I think it's great.

One thing that bothers me about my current piece though is that the left hand kinda overlaps the right hand a bit too much.
Hear it out, I'm not that good at explaining what I mean:

Starting with bar 17 and especially when the arpeggios kick in at bar 30 when the forte part starts, the treble takes wayy to much weight from the higher notes played in the right hand. How can I correct that?

I mean when I'm playing it by myself I just play the left hand more silent and that's it.
Is there a way to integrate this into the score? Like going 'mp' for the bass and 'f' for the treble? Sounds like it always changes both together.

Thanks in advance and have a good day,
Mirasiro

Yes, it does.
You need to change the dynamic range from staff to part. Select each dynamic sign and use the inspector.

[Edit] Sorry, vice versa - due to my limited knowledge of English. Select 'staff'!
