Can't access/see certain dialogs when using external monitor

Sometimes (not sure what conditions are) when I open Musescore, I won't be able to click on anything, like there's a splash screen or something else I have to click on that I can't see. Escape doesn't help. In the meantime, I can't even close it with the corner X - I have to use the task manager to exit the program.
I realized that when I unplugged my external monitor, everything worked fine.

The same thing happened when I went to the Edit > Preferences menu to change the audio output. I couldn't get to or even see the dialog box even by hovering over the taskbar menu for previews (it only showed the main window), and I couldn't click on anything in the main window either.

I made some screen capture videos since a screenshot wouldn't show much, but realized this form only accepts images. I can send them or upload them if needed.
