Shortcut problem with number 8 (double whole note
Hello everyone,
I've just installed the Musescore 4, works great but i have one problem.
Every time i try to write a double whole note using the keyboard shortcut (number 8) it doesn't work. I never had this problem with the earlier version. Every other note value shortcuts work, even the longa (number 9). But every time i try the number 8 it appears the last value i added before. I checked the shortcuts in the preferences and it appears the number 8 for the double whole note, it should be working.
Has anyone had a similar problem? Do you know how to fix it?

It does work for me (8 works, but 9 causes a crash?!?), so we'd need more information about your setup
What Operating System, what keyboard layout and language settings?
Are you on 4.0.1? Tried reverting to factory settings and the issue persists?

I have a macOS Big Sur v. 11.7.2 with keyboard in QWERTZ swiss german, i have also tried changing it to QWERTY, the problem stays the same. The number 9 works fine with me, the problem is just number 8. Yes, i have the latest version of Musescore. I have tried to revert to factory settings, does not work.

Does the button on the toolbar work? Needs to get enabled first, via the gear wheel icon

Yes, it works.

It seems to happen that every time i use the shortcut 8, it writes wherever note value i wrote last.
