I tried that, but when the first voice is entered I see no possibility to get the first note into the second voice. The measure is still empty and when I set the note to a quarter note and press CTRL-3 new notes are still entered into voice 1 🤔 before the existing triplets in stead of above eachother 😪 Apperently I am doing something wrong 😰

  • Enter voice 1 (upper notes) for the whole measure - 4 triplets.
  • Click on 1st of the notes you just entered
  • Make sure you are in note entry mode (this may be what you are doing wrong)
  • Click on the voice 2 button in the tool bar
  • Press 5 CTRL+3
  • Enter the notes in the 1st lower triplet.
  • Repeat the last 2 steps for the other triplets.

> However, when I try your first method, it seems to automatically generate 2 voices,
If you enter a note from the keyboard, for example a 'G', and then press Shift-C, you get two notes, G and C, on the same beat and in the same voice! Notes entered with the Shift key are always above the existing note. This works only if the notes have the same duration.

It is also no problem to add a second note with the mouse. Point above or below the first note on a staff and click.
My experience is from MS 3.6.2; maybe it is different in MS 4.
