Voices not showing up like I expected
I'm trying to recreate some sheet music in MuseScore. Specifically, I'm trying to do this:
I tried to achieve this by using voices, I put the half note in voice 2 and the quarter notes in voice 1. This then shows up like this:
I'm not that good with sheet music, and I'm not fully clear on how voices work either in notation or in MuseScore, so I'm not sure what's wrong here. Is the original score notated wrong? Did I use the voices feature wrong? What I've got in MuseScore at the moment sounds right, but is there a way to achieve the same thing without having that rest show up in voice 2? I'd like to keep the beam below the notes, but I can't do that if there's a rest intersecting it.
Bonus question: Is there a way to achieve the con pedale part in MuseScore?

Looks like they used 3 voices, judging from the stem(let) of the 3rd 8th.
You can either delete that quarter rest or make it invisible

Not looking to try to maintain three voices, or even understand how that works, so I just deleted the rest. Worked fine! Thanks!
