First lyrics line (Latin) follows notes, I need second line (English) to not follow notes

I have the first line of lyrics (Latin in this case) following my notes. Is it possible to have the second line (English, French or Spanish translation) not follow the notes, since the notes weren't written for the translated text, and large words spread out the notes improperly.
I'm able to insert a vertical frame, horizontal frame and text under every staff with the translated text, but I can't get it close enough to the first line of text, and it's also more work to align and set to the same font size. Thanks for any and all help.
