Error in Android app: "The app seems to be turned off in the background, please try refreshing"

I downloaded the MuseScore app to my Google Pixel 7 running Android 13. While I am able to log in, unfortunately I wasn't able to open one of my scores.

I keep getting the error "The app seems to be turned off in the background, please try refreshing". I do press the refresh button, but it never gets me anywhere.

I have tried reinstalling the app and rebooting the device. I was also able to open a random public score in the app. Any idea what might be causing this?

I just tried to open this score on my browser (Google Chrome). I got a different message: "This score is currently being processed". After a while, it was displayed correctly on the browser.

Going back to the app, I no longer get the error. I just get a blank screen. So current hypothesis is that scores need to be processed on a server before they can be opened in the mobile app/browser. Maybe one just needs to wait enough time, or maybe this attempt to open on the mobile browser is important to trigger some build/processing script.

I am using a Samsung A7 tablet, Android 13. I do not see an option anywhere to set "pause app activity if unused." In system setting I do see an option to "Remove permissions if app is unused" which seems to be a different concept, but I've tried that, both on and off, with no success.

Most sheet music is not opening. I bought an annular subscription to use this with my tablet to be able to use the transpose function and that lack of functionality on the tablet makes the app worthless.

I had the same issue when using Galaxy Tablet. Couldn't figure it out. I turned on Bluetooth on the tablet and it worked.

Ok so this sounds so silly, but it actually worked. I have a Fire HD 10 tablet from Amazon and I kept getting the message with all the scores. I tried to fiddle on with the app settings but nothing and I thought I'd give a go to turn on the Bluetooth, worked straight away lol.
Thanks!
