Feel free to do a search to understand the reason why this is so, but the short version is, MU3 limited you to using the same soundfonts for all scores, and this might have been barely acceptable when soundfonts were all you had available, but was unworkable with Muse Sounds and VST's. Letting each score have its own sounds is crucial, so windows are used instead of tabs.
