MuseScore crashes once viewing the Piano Keyboard

I am unable to view the piano keyboard at all. When I launch MuseScore the place where the keyboard would be is blank. Once I either press P or use the dropdown menu to view it, MuseScore completely crashes / closes. I have reinstalled Musescore twice. Should I revert to a previous version or is there a fix?
