Apres PDF conversion
After a PDF conversion aside from the fact that the file has errors of timing there are strange + marks on many bars which when right clicked say "style", "Page settings" or "Load style". How do I get rid of them?

The gray plus signs are supposed to tell you that the measure deviates from its nominal length and is too long.
This happens for example when there is a triplet in the PDF and it is not recognized. So the triplet, which has the duration of a quarter note, now becomes three eighth notes and thus the measure is one eighth note too long.
Unfortunately there are many other possibilities that lead to this.
You will have no choice but to compare all these measures with the original and correct them manually.
The PDF import is based on character recognition and is unfortunately far from perfect.
In your measure 8 there is an additional eighth rest at the end. This can be corrected by correcting in the measure properties the actual value from (probably) 9/8 to 8/8. Be aware: MuseScore shortens the measure from the right side, so the 4th staff will run into a problem.

Thank you. I kind of suspected that was the case so have begun re-writing those bars affected.

It depends a lot on the type of error, what you can do. Sometimes you even have to insert a measure and rewrite the notes there and then delete the old measure. This is a good method anyway, because you can simply copy & paste the error-free parts of the other staves.
Sometimes a cut & paste is enough to move a note sequence by one beat. If the measure is longer, as in your example, then one of the notes with a longer duration was detected during import, or a wrong rest.
And sometimes it wouldn't even take longer to just copy the score completely by hand than to find and correct the errors.
Even if you create a PDF with MuseScore and then read it back in, there are usually errors in it.
However, there are supposed to be commercial programs that can do it better ...
