single note glissandi playback?

i've noticed that when using a glissando and putting the type to portamento, the note where the glissando ends gets played again, which doesnt really sound good and its pretty inaccurate for stuff like trombones, it would be nice if the same note where the glissando starts stays the same note at the end of the glissando

Dictionary definition:
glissando
a continuous slide upwards or downwards between two notes.

I'm not a brass player, but what exactly is a glissando which stays on the same note?

sorry if i use bad english but on trombone, when you do a glissando, the note you play keeps the same volume during the glissando. but in musescore when you do the glissando, it kind of glissandos to the note, but then plays the note again once it has finished the glissando. its not very accurate to how it is on actual trombones
