Irregular reverb
I have a issue using MS4 .
I use my pc keyboard to insert notes in a score. every time I enter a note it sounds like there's a lot of reverb. When i select an existing note on the score, same problem. Normal playback is flawless. Switching off the reverb in the instrument panel does not solve the problem. Opening Audacity to record the problem does not change the problem, actual pressing the record button on Audacity DOES solve the problem making it impossible to record and send a example.
I have the impression that there still is some sort of reverb or that MS4 records and plays back and when I want to use Audicity the signal gets rerouted to somewhere else.
Does any of this make any sence? Sams problem occurs on laptop.

In order for someone to investigate, please attach your score. Also say if you are using any non-default sound libraries or effects.

I have a short video of the problem but it won't load here.
If in the score I select any note on a bar and move right note by note my echoing problem occurs. If the mixer is selected ( F10) problem almost completely gone, if mixer deselected problem reappears.
Reduction in problem during actual entering new notes is not significant.
Problem only in Musescore 4, in 3 it's fine.
See other picture for my way of instrument choices via mixer. I believe this was a temp. solution suggested from somebody in the Musescore team but not sure anymore.

Works fine for me. I'm guessing there is some sort of MIDi loop going on with your system. Check Edit / Preferences / I/O to see if MIDI input or output devices are selected, and then if so, check those devices to be sure they aren't completing the loop.
Regarding video - while this site doesn't provide hosting facilities, you can use YouTube or any similar service, then paste a link into a message here.

It's clearly a driver issue on my side I guess. Where I had my problem without the mixer using Realtek high definition audio drivers it's completely opposite with after I removed the Realtek drivers and went back to the AMD drivers. Now sound is perfectly clear without the mixer and drama with mixer. I'll try the Youtube link suggestion tomorrow.

As you can see/hear in the video problem is mostly gone when using the mixer.
After getting rid of my Realtek sound driver and went to the motherboard AMD driver problem went completely opposite. Good sound without mixer but lousy with mixer.
Later this week I'll have a more powerfull laptop since this one is on the edge of what is adviced. I'll keep you posted on the results on that one.
Sorry for any inconvenience,

Just installed latest available Musescore 4.1 to a fresh ( lot more powerfull ) laptop, works like a clock.
I've probably gave the required system resources too little attention.
Apologies .
Thanks for the nice program.
Bert.
