Can you post a sample score?
My guess is that you are experiencing clipping, a common problem with loud scores.
How to fix: Adjust the master volume from the mixer until the loudest passages peak around 0 units
In the mixer (press F10 if you don't see it), adjust the master volume until the loudest passages peak at around 0 units. Here is step three (3) from a video tutorial to visualize. https://youtu.be/OohUJsDD_1w?t=44
