Pitches higher, Audio Laggy, Tempo Too Fast

• Jul 25, 2024 - 02:25

When I first downloaded Musescore Studio 4, there were a few bugs that plagued me. Every instrument, regardless of soundfont or choice, was pitched up two or three octaves. In addition, the audio for each note crackled and lagged the speed of the track. The tempo was significantly sped up as well. In order to get a BPM of around 120, I had to set the BPM to 30. These issues fixed upon the program hard crashing.
However, the program has crashed once again, and the issues have come back up. If any help could be provided, that would be appreciated.

Yes, my computer meets the proper specs.
No, I have not been plugging and unplugging my headphones, and they aren't connected by bluetooth. The audio on the rest of my computer works perfectly fine, it is only MuseScore with these issues.
Thanks for posting the help page. I tried everything there, and nothing fixes it.
It seems the only thing that has fixed it before is for the program to hard crash.

And on the same page in I/O where you raised the buffer to 4096, you also changed the audio device to the name of your device and not just Default. Sometimes there isn't a choice. I have seen your problem come up before. Each time, it seems to be something different that fixes it.

Make sure your audio device is set to 44.1 kHz, or at least make sure your OS is allowing individual applications to set the audio device sample rate. Some systems lock the audio device to a rate that isn't supported by MuseScore.
