writing for drums
I downloaded the instructions for writing drum music.
It says "select start location i percussion staff
Enter input mode
the drum palette DIP appears at the bottom of the window.
It did not appear.
If I click on the drum line I get a rest von.fuchs@gmail.com

What instrument are you trying to write for? The drum palette isn't for things like timpani and tam tam, or bass drum. It works with drum sets.

I am trying to write for bass drum and snare drums but that drum palette does not appear at all.
I read elsewhere that control and two other keys will activate the drum notes.
I have not installed the newest bveersionof Musescore and that may alse be a problem
but it works well enough as it is, and I do nto enjoy relearning the program because a programmer was bored and deicded to fiddle with it.

AFAIK, Create a bass drum staff. Select the measure where you want to place notes. Hit "N" (make sure it is note input and not insert or something else). A single note palette should appear at the bottom of the page.
I think this is true of any version.
