No Edit Pull down menu - cannot create tabs from notation
instruction and demos orient to a menu bar that appears different than what I have available to me. I have "Home", "Score" and "Publish". I do not have an "Edit" pull down. I can create a new linked staff to an existing one but cannot alter the clef. Screen shot of my 3 element menu bar below. Just trying to connect some Bass music to tabs. Appreciate any insights.

So you need to create a score before the other tools appear. Hit New score and hit "I". If you already have a file, open it with Musescore. The edit tab isn't for editing files. The things you want to change are in "palettes" on the left after you open a score.
