Helps yes, thank you, but still not quite there.

What credit where? And also why, when I am already a pro+ member?

Thank you very much for answering me! I feel very stressed by this, as I feel that this is a trick by the musescore team to make more money, when they already say in the commercial for the pro+ membership that we can access sheet music...

"when they already say in the commercial for the pro+ membership that we can access sheet music..."

Please reread the article above, I quote in bold: "You can purchase the official score to obtain a licensed copy for printing or store on your device. At the moment, purchases of Official scores in PDF are only available through credits. Downloading in other formats is not available.

On closer inspection, it seems that the version you have chosen is not downloadable (for some reason, or not yet?) However, you do have an audio preview (I have it too, as a PRO member only).

On the other hand, another song of Simon & Garfunkel, another official score, is downloadable:

but you have to pay a credit.

Why do you say: "I suspected there was something outside of my control. " ?

Whether or not to buy the PDF is your decision, only "your" decision. This being the case, there seems to be a lot of confusion regarding these official scores. Many think that a PRO+ account gives you free access to these Official scores. Which is not the case (as it is written in the article quoted). You must pay a "credit".

As for the PRO account, I have long wondered what is the difference between a PRO+ account. As it is not clearly written on the site of musescore.com (where I have not seen it?), it seems to me that a PRO+ account allows you to view AND listen to this or that score (or most...) While with a single PRO account, it is limited to viewing (or not... for some scores!). It’s a bit convoluted, I admit... There may be also other differences or subtleties that are still eluded by me?

In any case, don’t focus only on these official scores. Regarding "The Sound of silence", I see lots of scores for SATB submitted by members of the MuseScore community. They are free (for PRO accounts) and a few of them can constitute a good basis of work before edition (transposition or other) if necessary.
