Playback control without dragging
That is extremely annoying having to drag the playback control to the screen in order to do simples actions like changing the BPM. It is an usability problem that must be solved!

To change the BPM, add a Tempo marking from the Tempo palette. The playback control is only for temporary (this play!) changes.

Hi, TheHutch. I'm not talking about changing the tempo of the piece (which would affect the score). I'm specifically referring to the playback feature. There could be a dropdown menu or another solution that is more intuitive than having to drag the playback control panel around just to see the available functionalities. I've seen other users mentioning this issue on forums, Reddit, and YouTube, so It might not be an isolated, personal discomfort.

I think a tempo override should definitely be more accessible. In MS3 it was housed in the Play Panel, but with little other value to be found there. Here's a mockup of a Practice Panel to replace the on Play Panel, of which only fragments made it into MS4
Regardless, Tempo override is a basic and important feature deserving of a Tempo Override slider in the Toolbar.
