Why do the grace notes play?
In 3.x the grace note plays even though they are set to "not play".

It is fixed in Mu4.
But feel free to request a fix for this in my 3.7

As a workaround, (until a fix arrives), you could set the velocity of grace notes to zero.

This workaround wouldn't work, for the reasons given below, you'd still hear those double attacks,
Funny enough: these grace notes from bass staff are silent when there are no notes in treble staff !?!
Edit: no, I missheard something here
Actually the grace notes do not play, but the notes they are attached to get delayed a bit, so together with the notes from the other staff sound like 2 strikes shortly after one another, check the attached

Aah, that explains it! Good discovery. Seems you have the problem under control then!
