How to deactivate the first page number of the score?
Does anyone knows how can I make the page number 1 (on the first page of the actual score) invisible? Even if I uncheck "Show on first page" in the Header settings, it is still there. I can´t find any other setting to solve the problem. Bug? Or am I doing something wrong?

Use $p (lower case "p") in the header. Upper case $P (upper case "P") puts the page number on all pages.
The "show on first page" setting applies to the entire header and is settable for header and footer independently.
See https://musescore.org/en/handbook/4/header-and-footer

Thank you! Yes, I´m using the lower case "p". It doesn´t have any effect.

It works for me. Which version of Musescore are you using?
Perhaps try reverting to factory settings. but be aware that will reset any customisations you may have made to shortcuts, pallets, toolbars etc.

I can see from your attached image that there's a page break (i.e. there is already a first page, I guess for the title frame and other information) before pages 1 and 2 - image below.
Wouldn't you have set the "First page number" to 0 (the "default" is 1) in Format / Page Settings, thinking you were doing the right thing?
If you only want the 1 to be displayed on... third page, set this "First page number" to -1.

Thank you!
Yes, there are two pages (Title+Information) before the actual score starts.
But I do NOT want the 1 to be displayed at all!
So it has nothing to do with "First page number to -1", it is about the header settings,
and it seems as there´s a bug.

Two pages? Well, if you set the "First page number" to -2, you get this - pictured below.
Isn't this what you want?

Where exactly do I revert to factory settings? Is it inside the Preference Settings? Reset Preferences?

No, it's in the "Help" menu / Revert to Factory Settings
But first check my first hypothesis (in the previous comment)

I have now installed the latest version of MuseScore and
Reverted to Factory Settings. No result. Seems to be a very deep bug😆
However, thank you for your help!

Score needed

Thank you. Unfortunately, I do not upload scores here. But it is not inside a specific score, I encounter the same problem for all scores I´m working with right now.

Check the attached. Here (Wiondows 11, MuseScore 4.4.4) it looks like
It uses $P (upper case P) and ticked the "Show on first page' box
Using $p (lower case p) as well as unticking the "Show on first page' box takes care of it not showing. And one of the 2 settings is sufficient for the page number to not show. For it to show both settings are needed.
No bug in sight at all

Thank you!
Yes, I know those settings. And when creating my post in the first place, I´ve uploaded a screenshot showing the exact same settings you mention here. But it doesn´t make any changes. Here I send you a sample score and a screenshot of the current settings. No matter whether the p letter is big or small and whether "show on first page" is checked or not – there is no difference.
But I´ve noticed, that this sort of bug do not occur with your file you´ve uploaded here. I can see the difference when checking/unchecking. That´s at least an indication that there´s no bug inside the software on my computer. Must have to do something with the file. But it is with every file, even every new created.
I have the latest version of MS.

Your score starts page numbering with -1 (Page settings), so the 1st and 2nd page don't get any page numbers. but the 3rd page does get page number 1 printed.
Indded those other 2 settings don't make any difference then
Might be a question of nomanclature, page 1 vs. 1st page
In reply to Your score starts page… by Jojo-Schmitz
What do you mean exactly with nomanclature? In order to have correct page numbers in the actual score, I am forced to make the -1 setting. When I do -2 then I eliminate the page number 1 on the first page, only to get it placed on the next page (which should be No. 2).
That´s true: I haven´t taken in consideration, that your file has no title pages, that´s why everything works fine there.

So on what page do ypou want the numbering to start and with what number do you want it to start?
Currently it starts with page number 1 on the 3rd page
In reply to So on what page do ypou want… by Jojo-Schmitz
it would be great if it could start with page number 2 on 4th page. This would solve the problem. Is there a setting for that? I couldn´t find.

No, there isn't, apparently

That´s strange. I ask myself how one can create a professional score with several title pages and without page number 1 on the first page where the music starts. As far as I know this is the standard for scores. I haven´t seen any score where page number 1 shoes up. And in Sibelius it was an easy setting. Strange that such a simple thing can not be achieved inside such an advanced program like MuseScore.
However, thank you so much for your efforts and help!
