Inserting pizzicato sound
Hello: I tried to insert pizzicato sound into a score by going to Create>Text>Staff Text, and then Staff Text Properties>Chanel as suggested in the Manual under "Mid-staff change". The only option I see under Channel is "Normal", no other options to select from, such as pizzicato, mute, tremolo, or any other. Is there something I am doing wrong or missing. Any assistance anybody my offer will be greatly appreciated. I am using Musiscore v. 1.0 and fluid-soundfont-gm.

Those options should be present if the instrument you have selected for the staff was defined (in instruments.xml) to have those options. Most stringed instruments should be; is there a particular instrument you are using that doesn't?

Thank you Marc for your prompt response. Switching the original staff from "Violin1" to just plain "Violin" made the trick. Now the 3 options (Normal, Pizzicato and Tremolo) were available in the Staff Text Properties dialog window. I had no difficulties implementing Pizzicato in my score. I still do not understand why this option was not present under Violin1 being that the Pizzicato and Tremolo functions are defined for both Violin1 and Violin2 in the instruments.xml file. Anyway, thank you again for helping me solve this situation.

I the same options in the staff text properties for Violins1 that I do for Violin. Are you sure you really had the staff set to that instrument?
