Freeze
Hi guys. I have downloaded and installed version 2.0.2. It installs fine, but when I try opening the program my computer freezes everytime. I have Win. 8 and have tried win8 version, when didn't work I tried win 7, 10 versions. I then tried the zip file but there is no 'exe.' File that zip files usually have. Really stuck on solutions? Any suggestions anyone can give me ?

There is no different version for Windows 7, 8 or 10.
What zip file are you talking about?

Hi. When I've downloaded the program from SourceForge ( i think the name is ) where I'm sent to, it shows 3 different sub folders including an msi folder, zip folder and another folder which I can't remember at the top of my head. I'm totally confused why when I install the full program, my computer freezes up, and I would have thought thd zip folder would have had an 'exe.' folder, but doesn't seem to. I'm trying to find out about msi files, I've never come across them before. Thanks for taking the time to reply.

Practically no one uses SourceForge nowadays!

As far as I know, all download links on musescore.com forward to musescore.org.
Can you recall/show where you found/clicked the link that took you to SourceForge?

I think there have been a couple of times this has happened, now you mention it ( i have attempted download many times ) , but even still have problems with the computer freezing up when I try running after install. I'm very tired with sleep apnea, so not easy to remember everything. Sorry. Thanks for your reply.

The zip file is just the source code. Neither MuseScore.org nor MuseScore.com would send you to SourceForge

Now I'm even more confused !!! hahaha !!! I will keep trying and see what happens, in the meantime I'll keep using 1.3 . Thanks everyone for your feedback, I really appreciate it. :)

as has been said earlier, just use https://musescore.org/en/download
Maybe your computer's CPU is lacking SSE Support? If so try https://musescore.org/en/download#Unsupported-versions-of-Windows

Hey, I had same problem! It was fine for about a month. But after about a week since I haven't used it for a while, it then it Freezes whenever I trynna Open it, so I had to Reboot my laptop everytime.
I managed to fix it, all I did was to Uninstall Musescore 2 then Re-install and it was fine again! :D
