Download options
I was wondering if there was a way to download musescore as a zip file and if not I was wondering if that could be made possible because I have more than one laptop and I'm trying to get it on my school laptop but due to the admin restrictions I can't download it, but if I were to use a zip file I would be able to download it.

You might be misunderstanding what "portable app" is. It's a special version of an app designed to be run from a thumb drive or other source without requiring installation on the host machine. It works beautifully for exactly the sort of situation you describe; I've used it myself on occasion. See http://portableapps.com/apps/music_video/musescore_portable
