I notice that there are still numerous times that this instruction is mentioned in a reply for assistance. Obviously, people do not know how to write a proper report.
I think that it would be a good idea to have this link come up in a prominent part of the screen that comes up whenever someone wants to ask a question or report a bug. This might cut down on the number of times this response has to be made.

Yes, I've been thinking about this too. A short list of things could appear if you're about to post in the forum, or issue tracker.

In the event that this is the proper forum, my question is this: I'd like to be able to indicate, with brackets, the interval distance between two notes of a chord -- say, from the root and 3rd, indicating whether it's a major or minor 3rd. Is this possible?

You can enter any text on top of chord, select a note in the chord and press Ctrl + T.
