Allow to upload separate MIDI file to MuseScore sheet
MuseScore does not support advanced playback features, like microtonal accidentals. It would be great to allow users to upload their own MIDI file that corresponds to their score. This way, no need to put pressure on the MuseScore playback to support all the features that can be typeset.

If you really want different playback in the meantime, render your microtonal (midi) output to an audio/video file and upload it to youtube. Then use the "audio sources" facility to link it to your musescore.com score.
If you have a Pro account you can even set that to be the default playback audio.

Even quicker than uploading to Youtube, if you have an MP3. Go to your score page, click "Send to Youtube" in the right hand menu. It will ask you to upload an MP3 and if you want to add the resulting video as an audio source. Press Save. You end up with a video of your score on Youtube, with the MP3 as audio, and on MuseScore.com, your score can be played in sync with the video!

That method worked flawlessly. Thanks!
BTW, you can force MsueScore to play back microtonal accidentals manually - you just need to enter appropriate values into the Inspector.

That's excellent too! Thanks so much for the answer.

Actually, this method ended up working best for me, because adding an audio source seems to have no effect on the Android app: the original MIDI plays instead. Changing the note tuning manually does reflect in the app.

Indeed, adding an alternate source only affects playback on musescore.com. it does not affect the score itself, so anyone who plays the actual score directly - whether using the Android app or downloading it to their computer and using MuseScore itself - will hear the audio generated by the program they are using.
