Printing score and individual parts
Will musescore print the score and individual parts from the score created?
Can you import musescore in to Finale 2012?
Thanks, this looks like this is a great piece of software, especially for a ritred band director on a fixed income.

Yes, you can extract and prints parts from the score - see the Handbook section on Part extraction .
As for Finale, it won't read a MuseScore file directly, nor will MuseScore read a Finale file directly, but both programs support import and export to the standard MusicXML format, which allows scores to be be transferred between programs with some degree of success. Not perfect, and you'll almost need to fix things up on the other side after a conversion, but it gives you a good starting point in most cases.

Is it possible to create a score from already made parts? I found this program recently and made a trombone octet in individual parts before knowing the score features existed.

Copy and paste will be your best bet here. It won't preserve dynamics or other text so you'll have to re-add those, and if there are time or key signature changes you'll want to set up the score with those first. But it should work within those limitations.

prepare an empty octet score, with time and keys signature.
Let it open, open one of the existing parts (use the simultaneous display), copy and paste, and so on

You could open one individual trombone part, then create 7 new 'instruments'.
Any time signature changes will be honored in the newly created parts.
Key signature changes will have to be set up manually.
Then copy/paste all parts into the blank measures.
