Keyboard Shortcut bug - Alt/Option up/down arrows
The shortcut to navigate between staves using Alt/Option and the up/down arrows seems to randomly jump around staves, rather than going to the stave directly above (for up arrow) or below (down arrow). Additionally, the shortcut doesn't work at all unless there are already notes entered in the measure above or below, when it should allow navigation to these measures even if they are only whole rests.

Believe it or not, it isn't a bug, but by design. The Alt-Down command was not intended does not go to the next lower *staff* but instead, the next lower *note*, which could be on any staff. Not that I personally find this a very useful thing compared to moving by staff (and as you say, allowing you to move to an empty staff), but hopefully it helps to know there really is a method here and that it isn't random! There already other requests to implement a command that does move by staff, so hopefully we'll see that some day.

oh weird, interesting. ok, thanks for pointing it out.
an ability to navigate around a score using the keyboard is greatly needed.
