Add space between title/ composer etc. frame and 1st staff.
I cannot figure this out - the frames will not insert between these to "frames". How do I do it?

Select first measure, than add vertical frame. Or select the title frame and in Inspector tweak the value for bottom distance

Thanks both, I had already tried that, but when I do, the first measure remains cut off from the rest of the notation.
What I have done as a workaround is to increase the depth of the title system and then have to go and move all the the text instructions etc. back to the proper layout, ONE by one because they are attached to the top frame rather than the staff. Maybe a feature request?

Jojo's method is the most effective...
or Double-click on the frame and use the handles.
