Input Chord/Triad with MIDI controller
I am trying to input a triad in the score. For example C Maj triad (C,E,G). I want these three notes on one stem.
But when I use MIDI controller and press C,E,G at the same time, it enters them separately progressing along the staff.
I have been searching for hours and can't figure it out. My MIDI controller is working properly and no issues with it. I do know I can press "shift+E or shift+G'" and the letter on the keyboard. But constantly switching back and forth is cumbersome.
How do I get Musescore to enter triad/chords with the MIDI controller???

Should work. What OS, what version of MuseScore? Are you in standard step-time note input mode or one of the more specialized ones? BTW, be sure to release the notes more or simultaneously - it's not just about when you *strike the key.

macOS High Sierra 10.13
Musescore 2.1.0
I don't know what input mode I am in, I didn't realize there were more specialized way to input notes. How do I access these other input techniques? Thank you for the assistance, when I try again I will focus on both simultaneous strike and release.

Click the fancy N under the new score button and see which mode is selected.

Thanks for the help, just tried it again. For some reason this time I didn't have to do anything, seemed to fix itself. All working good now. much appreciated.
