New GM SoundFont Based on SGM

• Jan 7, 2018 - 07:12

I have a new General Midi SoundFont (SGMv2.01-NicePianosGuitarsBass-V1.3) that is based on the excellect SGM2.01 SoundFont but I have swapped out the pianos, acoustic guitars and basses for some much improved sounds. This SoundFont is great for ballads, rock, and most pop/modern music. It is 309mb in size and downloadable from here:

Alternatively you can go to my site https://sites.google.com/site/soundfonts4u/ and downdload it from there or look for other SoundFonts that might suit you better.

Congratulations on your new work.
Since I know how much self-sacrifice (devotion) and time these works require, I offer my special respects to you.
I hope you will continue your works.

There is something I have observed (and I am not satisfied with) in forums: such announcements unfortunately do not get enough feedback. And the soundfont creator is going away from the necessary motivation. This is not something I am ever glad about.
For this reason, I do not consider publishing my new SoundFont works yet.

come on, Mr Demircan, you are not making soundfonts for feedback or credits; you are making soundfonts for Music! and you can be sure she is happy with every soundfont (except the Gunshot).
just play GMpreset 127 now and then.

i dont like the creativity that is fed by compliments; turn on your TV and see where that leads to!
we all are slowly dying and our creativity dies with us, the more reason to produce the things we are good at.
think of Vincent van Gogh; he never got a compliment.

Thanks a lot. I got your Nice Keys and many new combination fonts recently. I greatly appreciate the work you have done. The included links have led to other sounds. I have so many packages now that I fear there is a lot of redundancy that I need to edit. BTW, do you think there is any advantage to resampling at a higher rate or not?
