Grace notes don't sound identical when in the same measure.
If the beats are swung.
And if the first note in a measure has a grace note and another note in the same measure also has a grace note, the two grace notes do not sound the same.
One is much quicker than the other. (I prefer the sound of the first one)
Its really no big deal. I am nitpicking here. I don't care about computer playback, only for notational purposes. To check my notation is correct.
But it is odd that two identical grace notes of the same duration and with a 'slash' through them, do not produce identical beats.

I probably has to do with one set on the down beat and the other set on the up beat if it's swung.

If thats the case, maybe its a bug? I don't think anyone wants to 'swing' slashed grace notes. They are always played straight, I would think.

When the down beat is twice as long as the upbeat (just for example), how would you expect grace notes on the up beat and down beat to be the same length? The two eight notes are not the same length.

Program it in. What I don't know is what is the correct human behavior? If you have two grace notes in a 'swung' compositions, one on the up beat and one on the downbeat. Are they supposed to be played differently? If not, then it should be changed.
Also, my interpretation of grace notes with lines in them. They are all played the same way, regardless of the note they are attached to. They take no beats from the previous note and should be played as quickly as possible.
Interesting glitch! Normally grace note length would be independent of note length - grace notes on dotted eighth / sixteenth pairs work as expected. I think the code to process grace notes is simply messing up with regard to swing, probably trying to start the grace note at the point where it would have started if not swung.
Can you file an official bug report to the issue tracker, with a short example to demonstrate?
