Printing issue and red note heads
1 Using MS (V. 2.3.1 r.0899e9d) I'm unable to send a document to my printer. Other apps are printing fine. I have to export as PDF to print.
2 The document I'm trying to print has some red note heads. Why? I've never seen this before. See attached.

To help with the printing issue start with the MuseScore and operating system versions.

I stated MS version in my initial posting (it's the latest update). I'm using Windows 10.

What happens if you try to print? What printer, what paper settings?

Nothing. Nothing appears in the print queue. I'm printing to my HP Officejet 8620 with the same standard settings I use for other apps. Today I've printed from Word, Excel, NitroPro and Chrome...all worked. But MuseScore isn't printing.

I have the same printer and no problems with it from Windows 7 nor 10.
But I rarely print directly, I need the PDFs anyway, so export and if need be print those

I've been doing that. But MS has always worked until the latest updates (the update before the latest one, which I did this morning, wasn't printing either). Previous versions always worked.

From MuseScore, Layout/Page Settings checks your paper size

Implying...? My paper size is set to standard 8.5x11.

Update: from the print dialog, I unchecked (because it was already checked) and rechecked my printer in the list of printers. Then MS started to print correctly. This is very strange. At least it's working now, but it seems like possibly a small bug?

Update: the above-described printing issue is still happening. MS is not sending documents to my printer as described above. All other software is printing correctly including Microsoft Office programs, NitroPro, Chrome etc.

What does MuseScore say is the default printer? Is it the correct one?

It says my HP Officejet is the default printer (which it is), and that it's "ready."
