What happened to my trombone?

While working on a score my trombone transformed into something else, either a tuba or large sea mammal (not sure) on playback. Could someone instruct me on how to reclaim my trombone.

NEVER MIND.

Emergency over. I checked the mixer where I had been putting certain parts "solo" and one of my ten thumbs had gone astray.
