Drawing lines

• Nov 18, 2018 - 18:58

When I have made my scores in MuseScore, i print them as pdf.
In Adobe Acrobat I draw lines mostly in red and/or blue for the jumps. My eyes follow the line to where I must continue to play. After a small change I need to draw those lines again. It would be nice if MuseScore hed to option to draw those lines.

Hi all,
I'm trying to draw a vertical line as in my attached picture, but I don't seem to be able to do it following the above instructions. I'm using MuS v. 3.6
First of all in the LINES palette there is no vertical line but "lines" with musical meaning associated to them.
Thanks in advance for some help.

..actually I've discovered that it is possible, a friend of mine showed it to me this morning, see attached picture, the only constraint being that it has to be associated to a note, a rest won't do.

1) select the note to associate the square bracket to,
2) open the ARPEGGIO palette and click on the square bracket icon - it will appear as a very small ink splash that can be expanded as wanted via the mouse,
3) select the deployed square bracket and uncheck the AUTOMATIC PLACEMENT option via the INSPECTOR
and there you are!
So far I haven't seen any musical drawback impact on my score.
