Percussion notation
I chose "Fingersnap" but when I enter a rhythm, it appears as a pitch instead of a cross hatch.
How do I indicate those 'pitches' as X's ? Thanks.

Are you doing this on a pitched instrument staff? If so, then use the inspector (F8) and change the notehead group to an X. If this is a percussion staff, then right click the staff and choose Edit Drumset and change the notehead for finger snap there.
