Hi may I suggest that you upload a sample of the file you're working on as it will help people to analyse what is happening. I tried midi import here and that feature worked ok so it might be file specific.
There is a bug tracking area on the web site it isnt the easiest interface to use if your not a computer geek ...

I am not a computer geek, but I did do some Beta testing for Sage Accounting software many many years ago. I am good at finding problems.
This is IMSLP file 154463 and is freely available online.
It arrives ok in Musescore 2 second file
Musescore 3 Beta First file called midi bug
Seems to happen to all midi files from IMSLP and as far as I can determine all other Midi files that I have sampled.

I don't see a MIDI file here?
Both the MSCZ files you attached open just fine for me, complete with clefs, key and time signatures.

These are the result of midi uploads, and the first file has no clefs and no key signature for me.
Oddly when I open the saved files the clefs and key signature are fine.

ps as you can see I have set everything to big and bold. I think I have rather overdone it.

This file opens fine in MuseScore 3 for me - clefs, keys, and time signatures. I have a build more recent than the beta so I guess it's possible something was fixed since then, but I don't remember any relevant changes.

M3 beta seems to be unstable and keeps closing down.
Is there a better place to post comments about it.

Interestingly when it restores the page after the closure it is correct.

Betas are indeed generally less stable than real releases. We want to fix all the issues we can before release. So any time you find a way to reproduce a crash, please do report it in the issue tracker (use the Report a Bug button or menu item in MsueScore itself, or Support / Issue Tracker here). But no sense doing so until you have it down to a reproducible set of steps. General discussion belongs here in the forums, but yes, the Development forum is better suited than the Support forum when talking about as-yet-unreleased software like a beta.

I hope you do realize that this description ("it disappears") is way to vague for trouble-shooting...
