MuseScore 3: Shows pop-up but does not actually open
Hello there! I downloaded MuseScore 3 today but it does not seem to be working for me. After installation, I tried to run MuseScore 3 but all it did was show its pop-up and not open. I have tried repairing the installation, reinstalling MuseScore 3 altogether, re-downloading the installer and going through the installation process again, and restarting my machine but all have turned up with the same results. I still have MuseScore 2.3.2 on my machine but it was not running at any time during the installation. I have checked Task Manager to watch MuseScore3.exe start running and then stop. Is there any way to fix this? I am running the latest version of Windows (1809) and I have a really good computer if those details are necessary. Please help!

Shows pop-up do you mean the splash screen? Try using the -w option (disables Web Access, if it works with that it is an indication for a firewall problem)

It is this screen. I am not sure what it is actually called. But this is all that opens when I run MuseScore 3. I will try the -w option though and come back to tell how it goes.

try -m if you have any midi devices, you can also try -s to see if it's related to your sound output.

I used -s and it worked! Does this mean I have to fix something with my sound output?

I do not know how to figure out what is wrong with it though. What could be the issue?
